Lets start with a story.
Your husband has been locked up for a crime he did not commit. When the court system has released him after verifying that he is innocent, he comes home to you. Being that this is your husband, you two make love. A few months later, you find out that you have HIV. You got it from him. He was not cheating. He got it from being anally raped while in the prison system. The prisoner raped him, and he did not know that he had the disease. Who’s wrong?
Well, it is just a story and not the truth. Maybe, that’s not likely to happen in a small place like Maldives. Who knows? But, I strongly believe prisoners should be allowed to have sex with their wives/or husbands. It should be a compulsory service to be provided by the department of correction, or whoever in charge of the prison. Its a fact that they are also human beings and would surely find it difficult to live without sexual pleasure from their wives/husbands. Yes! they have committed a crime which is not acceptable, and they are in prison to bear it’s circumstances and punishment. That doesn’t mean that they are kept away from their lawful wives/husbands. 
Yea! there is another side too. Allowing sex chances to the prisoners could make the prison best place to live, which may contradict with giving punishment for the crime they have committed. This would reduce the eagerness to come out of the prison to ‘meet’ their respective wives/husbands. High security at prison is another big question. Even if a prison allows sex chances to the prisoners, wives/husbands may not feel secure to expose their bodies in a place full of CCTV. :S
Well, I don’t know whether sex chances for prisoners are allowed in Maldives, or anywhere else even. What I believe is, sex chances should be allowed in every prison, and absence of it is just like promoting homo-sex. Maybe, that’s why the story I told before had a sad ending…

hullo not happening? prisons are famous for anal sex everywhere.. and in maldives they do let the wives and hubbys to have sex… the life sentenced one atleast. i think sex deprivation is an excellent punishment for these sick bastards , pedophiles and the incest people hehe because its also called solitary confinement and they can make them nuttier than they were before… the feeling of being alone can kill you and drive you nuts.
yeah, did a research later after writing the post, n found out life sentenced ones are allowed to have sex with wives/husbands 1hr per every month

they are prisoners..they are under punishment..and they did it amihla ah..they knew wat they were doing was wrong..and they knew they’d be put in prison..so?
So in my opinion, they do not get to get pleasure when they are in prison! =\

I agree with the idea of a conjugal visitations for inmates… well I guess it sex is just one component of the whole thing… the important point I guess is to keep the marriage strong

ill have to agree with andhu. i mean come on dude. these are people who’s gone past the line of sensible human beings. lets say one of them had molested ur lil sis(no offence if u happen to have one), or maybe raped a sister or a very close friend of urs and gets sent to prison. would you then repeat this same post and say that he deserves to have sex in prison. so whats he supposed to think. “i raped a hot chick and now the givernment gave me a bed, food to eat 5 times a day(i think its 6), dont have to work my arse off at all, and better yet some guy talked his way so good that now im also gonna get to have sex”???!!!
not jes the rapists, but it goes same for all those thieves whose made so many ppl lose their hard earned money, those families who’s lost sons and daughters to murderes and on n on. if they wanted sex, they shouldve stayed out of prison in the first place. even now the prisons in maldives are too light.

You think that the prisoners live happy with all these ‘resources’? By the way I am not taking the side of the prisoners here. I am just saying this from experience.

they are the ones who usually rapes the others….so to avoid such a scenario i believe tighter security and monitoring is what is needed and there could be testing of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases and those who have them should be monitored toooo

in singapore quoting from a friend who was a prison officer there. the prisoners get best food , education even higher education, when they are in prison. for this reason the poor return by repeating the crime. there is draw back too…
depending on their crime they get lashes yearly , monthly . these people who lash them or can them are trained pros who gets paid by the asses they lash on daily. these acts are also carried under the watch of a doctor and nurse who will attend to them incase anything goes wrong…
You know, this should greatly depend on the crime committed. In this case, this dude was under arbitrary arrest; the trial was going on and thus, he shouldn’t have been put in prison in the first place before confirming his guilt. Rather, he should have been in state custody till the said verdict was reached.
And I firmly believe that prisoners should not be given sex privileges. They are there for a reason, and by doing so, it makes life easier for them. No expenses, sex whenever they want.. food. Kinda offsets the purpose of prison doesn’t it? Besides, theres always masturbation isn’t it? They don’t have to go fanatically sex-deprived just because they are in prison.
A better solution would not be to grant them such privileges; a good solution would be to increase security so prisoners don’t violate each other and maintain some measure of civility amongst themselves. Rapists and murderers should be kept separated from those who commit less intense crimes.. like theft.
You can’t just put numerous men of different mental stability in a cell, lock them up and expect the lot to get along; prisoners have rights too; and though that doesn’t (in my opinion) extend to sex, they shouldn’t be beaten up, raped… and for this, the government is to be blamed.
