I recently met a girl, say Aysha, who thinks she should break the friendship with her friend because she doesn’t like the friend’s personal life anymore.

Here is what happened.

Her friend just started dating a married man, who has 2 children and a wife. Aysha, strongly believe her friend is interfering and ruining a happy couple. Despite the fact that she has already talked her friend about that, they still have kept on dating. Ayesha now says she has only one option left – that’s not to be friends with the girl anymore.

One of the sentence I used in replying her was ‘Friendships are forever, no matter what.’ But she said its not.

Whats your advice to her? Would you think of doing  the same if you were Aysha?

It’s a fact that we lose friends in the course of life. Girlfriends and boyfriends as well. But is it really worth to leave ex-girlfriends and ex-boyfriends all alone on road?

I believe we should have a good relationship with the Ex’s. Those are the people we once shared our lives sharing secrets. Every relationship that a man or woman once creates does remain part of their lives forever. It is simply impossible to get rid off people who have been once close to you.

People may think that an Ex would create problem in social life and also can bring misfortune for your new life partner. But, in reality it is just the opposite. Definitely, he/she will understand that someone else has taken his/her position in life. If your ex really loves you, he/she would not come to interfere, but would definitely help you to prosper in life.

You can find hundreds of examples where x-friends are in touch with each other despite one or both being in new relationships. In most of the cases, the conversation may be friendly or intimate, but it is not the same as between real bf/gf talk. It would be more like a chit-chat with an old friend. So I find no reason, why its wrong to go out and spare sometimes with the Exs.

But it becomes challenging when our ex come to you to carry on a secret relationship, which your new partner may not be aware of. That’s the situation where we should be aware of and sometimes it is the situation where we loose control and commit a mistake.

Your new partner may have made a way into your soul, but that doesn’t mean that you will completely forget your old flame. New partner may seem diamond to your heart, but to wear that diamond you need gold, which surely replicates the idea of your Ex.

Why don’t men usually share their problems with partners?

This may be totally a preposterous question. One of the girls from my friend list asked me that question. But yeah, it’s true in most cases. Girls talk and share a lot about their personal lives, family problems, almost all of office incidences, and things in school. But when it comes to boys, when the girl says ‘whats wrong’, the most probable answer would be ‘nothing’, even if the girl indubitably knows something is very wrong somewhere. If the girl keep on asking, the boy may give a short snapshot, but generally will not go to a full and profound discussion.

Girls probably won’t know the answer. So, I m answering that question here, in my blog, for my friend.

Reasons: (Let’s see how many I can list)

1. We usually don’t want girls to think about our problems.
2. We don’t like drama like most of the girls.
3. We don’t want to get the sissy label of being sensitive.
4. We think sharing our deep feelings would lead to become losers in front of girls.
5. We want to act like hard-core players and like things don’t bother us. But feelings in our deep down hearts is another story.
6. When we share things, it’s like sharing with the whole world. Girl’s bestfriends will know all that at the next moment.
7. We think we are able enough to solve our own problems.

A student asks a teacher: What is love?

The teacher said: in order to answer your question, go to the paddy field and choose the biggest paddy and come back. But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick.

The student went to the field, go thru first row, he saw one big paddy, but he wonders….may be there is a bigger one later. Then he saw another bigger one… but may be there is an even bigger one waiting for him.

Later, when he finished more than half of the paddy field, he start to realize that the paddy is not as big as the previous one he saw, he know he has missed the biggest one, and he regretted. So, he ended up went back to the teacher with empty hand.

The teacher told him, this is love… you keep looking for a better one, but when later you realize, you have already miss the person.

The student asked: What is marriage then?

The teacher said: In order to answer your question, go to the corn field and choose the biggest corn and come back. But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick.

The student went to the corn field, this time he is careful not to repeat the previous mistake, when he reach the middle of the field, he has picked one medium corn that he feel satisfied, and came back to the teacher.

The teacher told him, this time you bring back a corn…. you look for one that is just nice, and you have faith and believe this is the best one you get…. this is marriage.

It has been EXACTLY two years since I joined the facebook. At first it kinda freaked me out sending numerous e-mail alerts about each and every single thing. Yeah! and I did write my first reply on my own wall, like most of you. (:D)

1. First thing first, I love changing status.
2. I love ‘Send Message’ feature, which allows to send messages even though the recipient is not in friend list.
3. Love the Grafitti Wall, its the best application yay!
4. Other favourites include Movies, iLike, Nicknames and Questions
5. There are always people to wish me B’days on facebook though in real life, they don’t give a damn.
6. Finding and get in touch with once known-but-lost buddies.
7. Some groups are fabulous. My favourites are MGA, Ismail Wajeeh Fans, and DHiCTIONARY
8. I love adding applications developed by Maldivians. Like, MvBlogs, Hedhikaa, Radheef, Akun Bakun

Freaks me out

1. I hate friends requests from unknown people, and some people keep on adding and adding, yes, there is something called ‘facebook friends’ but i guess its not the right way.
2. I hate half dead groups n invitations to them [ like if i get 100000 people who dislike bla bla ]
3. I hate those photo stealing groups. [just steal pictures from an unknown person's album, n put them all over forums and groups. Wouldnt it be better to publish own pics in own groups? :@]
4. I hate to poke and being poked.
5. I hate different kinda walls. Fun, Advance or whatever. One is enough for me.
6. I hate chatting on that ‘kuda kuda’ chatbox.

Tell me what you got?

Let me ask what I want to ask first. Do you think love is a stranger to you? Well, this could be a stupid question – and ya! a difficult to answer may be. Let me make a bit simpler for you.

In life, we fall in love several times. A girl after girl, or a boy after a boy. Despite this fact, we feel a completely new thing every time. But yet it is called the ‘love’. Doesn’t it sound stupid? No matter how many times we fall in love, we just don’t get friendly with it. We just don’t get used to it. Each and every time, its just a new and unknown feeling. But yet, its called Love.

Well, you might think that its because of different personalities. Different ways of caring, different ways of talking, meeting and understanding. Yeah! that’s what I got as answers so far. But, lets keep those different personalities aside now. Think about your boyfriend or girlfriend for a while. You really think the love that exists between you two are friendly. I seriously don’t think so. That feeling keeps on changing moment to moment giving the most unexpected at times. The person we think we know the most may also be like a stranger sometimes. It just keeps on moving here and there.

But yet its just the same damn feeling – love. duh! just a stranger which never gets friendly – no matter how long we stay in love.

So back to the question. Do you think love is a stranger?

Lets start with a story.

Your husband has been locked up for a crime he did not commit. When the court system has released him after verifying that he is innocent, he comes home to you. Being that this is your husband, you two make love. A few months later, you find out that you have HIV. You got it from him. He was not cheating. He got it from being anally raped while in the prison system. The prisoner raped him, and he did not know that he had the disease. Who’s wrong?

Well, it is just a story and not the truth. Maybe, that’s not likely to happen in a small place like Maldives. Who knows? But, I strongly believe prisoners should be allowed to have sex with their wives/or husbands. It should be a compulsory service to be provided by the department of correction, or whoever in charge of the prison. Its a fact that they are also human beings and would surely find it difficult to live without sexual pleasure from their wives/husbands. Yes! they have committed a crime which is not acceptable, and they are in prison to bear it’s circumstances and punishment. That doesn’t mean that they are kept away from their lawful wives/husbands.

Yea! there is another side too. Allowing sex chances to the prisoners could make the prison best place to live, which may contradict with giving punishment for the crime they have committed. This would reduce the eagerness to come out of the prison to ‘meet’ their respective wives/husbands. High security at prison is another big question. Even if a prison allows sex chances to the prisoners, wives/husbands may not feel secure to expose their bodies in a place full of CCTV. :S

Well, I don’t know whether sex chances for prisoners are allowed in Maldives, or anywhere else even. What I believe is, sex chances should be allowed in every prison, and absence of it is just like promoting homo-sex. Maybe, that’s why the story I told before had a sad ending…
